“Rain” of fines in cafes, bars and restaurants in Mykonos and Halkidiki

After police checks, violations of insurance and tax legislation were found

“Rain” is falling fines in bars, cafes and restaurants in Mykonos and Halkidiki for violations of insurance and tax legislationas announced by the Financial Police Directorate and the Financial Police Sub-Directorate of Northern Greece, after inspections carried out between 16-18 June.

In total, 15 stores were inspected and violations were confirmed in 9 of them.

In particular, during the inspections it was found:

At Mykonos

  • in a coffee bar, the non-issuance of 20 receipts,
  • in a restaurant, the non-issuance of 6 receipts and to employ 2 employees outside working hours,
  • in a restaurant, to employ 25 non-working employees and to employ an employee who was not registered in the staff lists,
  • in a coffee bar, to employ 3 overtime workers and
  • in a restaurant, to employ 7 employees outside working hours.

In Halkidiki

  • in a coffee bar – restaurant, the non-issuance of 2 receipts and to employ 3 employees outside working hours,
  • in a cafeteria, the non-issuance of a receipt and employing 2 employees who were not registered in the staff lists,
  • in a fish tavern, to employ 11 overtime workers and
  • in a tavern, to employ 4 employees outside working hours.

For all cases, the competent services are informed (S.E.P.E., D.O.Y., P.E.K.A.) for the imposition of the corresponding administrative sanctions.
