Four people were arrested for violation of the legislation on addictive substances in the center of Athens and specifically in Varvakeio.
The “brain” of the gang hid the drugs in a butcher shop in Varvakeio, where the Attica Security Drug Prosecution raided, with the result that the police found them and he was arrested.
The operation was carried out in the context of special actions of the Drug Prosecution, to combat trafficking and trafficking in the center of Athens.

“On Thursday, June 23, 2022, in the center of Athens by police officers of the Drug Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, 4 people were arrested for violating the legislation on addictive substances.
In particular, in the context of actions of the above Service, for the arrest of drug traffickers and after investigating information regarding their activities in the trafficking of raw cannabis and cocaine in the greater area of downtown Athens, their crime was identified and certified.
Specifically, they were seized inside a store in the center of Athens to jointly hold packages with 5,772 grams of raw hemp and 70 grams of cocaine for the purpose of further distribution.
In total, the following were found and confiscated:
- 5,775 grams of raw hemp,
- 70 grams of cocaine,
- EUR 11,355,
- 3 mobile phones and
- electronic precision scales
