A 31-year-old man accused of involvement has been arrested, while the natural perpetrator of the attack is wanted.
Investigated by the Mykonos Police Sub-Directorate in collaboration with the Extortion Prosecution Department of the Attica Security Directorate, the case of unprovoked attack on a businessman, which took place on Friday, June 10, 2022, in Mykonos.
In the context of the methodical investigation and analysis of the case, it was ascertained the involvement of 3 people and specifically a 32-year-old native as a natural perpetrator of the attack and 2 other people as his accomplices.
More specifically, from the combined evaluation of the facts of the case and the analysis of the pre-investigation material collected, it emerged that, on Friday, June 10, 2022, the 32-year-old followed the businessman driving a stolen vehicle and intentionally caused a material accident, colliding with his vehicle.
He then unprovokedly attacked the businessman, trying to inflict serious bodily harm on him, using a heavy object. According to the investigation, after the attack, the 32-year-old escaped, after abandoning the stolen vehicle, boarding another car driven by a 31-year-old foreigner.
In the context of police checks and operations that have been carried out recently in Mykonos, with the assistance of OPKE police officers. West Attica, one of the accomplices (31-year-old foreigner) was located yesterday morning, Sunday, June 26, 2022, who refused control and was arrested for disobedience.
From the investigations that followed, the car with which the 31-year-old transported the 32-year-old was found and confiscated, as well as a mobile phone.
The competent prosecutor was informed about the progress of the case, before whom the arrested person is brought with the cases that were formed against him.
