Panhellenic Games 2022: The statistics of the grades- How to calculate the points- The performance per course and Orientation Team (Tables)

The scores and statistics of all the Panhellenic candidates in both GEL and EPAL were recently announced by the Ministry of Education and Religions.

The candidates who participated in the Panhellenic Examinations of the year 2022 by type of Lyceum and Orientation Team / Sector are shown in the following tables:

It is pointed out that the number of GEL / EPAL candidates results from at least one participation in a nationwide exam.

COURSE WEIGHT FACTORS

It is recalled that from this year coefficients of weight of the nationally examined General Lyceum, Vocational Lyceum, special courses and practical tests for admission to Higher Education apply, for the academic year 2022-2023 onwards, as they were defined by each University Institution for each Department / School / Introductory Direction. According to Law 4777/2021 (AD25) the weighting factor assigned to each of the four (4) nationally examined courses is expressed as a percentage (%) and can not be less than 20%. The sum of the coefficients gives 100%.

In the cases of Schools, Departments or Introductory Directionsthe introduction of which presupposes the examination in a special course or practical tests (competitions), the weighting factor assigned to the special course or the practical tests are either 10% or 20%.

The Schools, Departments or Introductory Directions, the admission of which presupposes the examination in one (1) or two (2) special courses with the choice of the candidates among more than one, attach the same weight to all the special elective courses, which is either 10% or 20%.

In the cases of Schools, Departments or Introductory Directions, in which two (2) special courses are examined, the sum of the weights assigned to them is 20% and the percentage assigned to each of the special courses can not be less than 8 %. The percentages that the special courses give are added to the 100% that the four (4) nationwide examined courses give.

So, according to the above, Each candidate who participated in the national exams GEL or EPAL, for each Department that will declare in his computerized bulletin, will have to calculate his points, multiplying the points in the 4 national courses (and in any special courses and competitions) on the respective rates for each course, as shown in the following Ministerial Decisions. Thus, each candidate this year will probably have a different number of points for each Department / School and not a single number of points for the entire Scientific Field (for GEL) or the Department (for EPAL), which is a candidate.

Indicatively, it is given an example of a GEL candidate for the 1st Scientific Field which received the following rating:

This candidate collects 18,680 points for the Law School of Thessaloniki (AUTh), while for the Law School of Komotini (DUTH) 18,900 points, according to the weighting factors of the respective Schools:

To facilitate the candidates in calculating their points, the Ministry of Education has developed a special application, with which the candidates, by entering their written grades, can automatically see their points for each Department / School of the Field or Sector they belong to.
