EOPYY: Open call for expressions of interest for concluding contracts with Personal Doctors

An invitation for expression of interest is made by ΕΟΠΥΥ for the conclusion of contracts with personal physicians, medical specialties of General / Family Medicine and internal Pathology for the registered population.

The call for interest for submitting requests for contract personal physicians in the nationwide network of private personal physicians contracted with EOPYY, remains open until 31/07/2022.

The personal physicians who will conclude a contract with EOPYY will provide their private clinics with a set of health services for the benefit of the citizens and the PHC health system.

In particular, the contracted personal physician will provide health services such as:

• diagnose individual health issues and identify their possible causes,
• solve and handle common health problems,
• co-manage chronic patients and mental health disorders,
• contribute to the treatment of polypharmacy,
• take care of the elderly and people with disabilities,
• to ensure the provision of palliative care and care services,
• to contribute to psychosocial well-being in the context of the needs of the patient, his family and the population of a geographically defined area,
• contribute to the coordination and follow-up of health care, referral to other levels of the health care system and specialized health care services,
• to receive, maintain and renew the individual health history and life habits of the person, related to it and to register them in the Personal Electronic Health Record (EHFY), to refer to doctors of specialties of the Health Centers, the public secondary and tertiary structures health and the health service providers contracted with EOPYY.
• to implement health education and promotion programs in the community in collaboration with the other members of the Health Team and with local Authorities, and other community bodies. The purpose and objectives of each program, as well as the framework of cooperation, are determined based on the assessment of the health needs of the community as well as the individual needs of the collaborating bodies.
• be prescribed regularly through the electronic prescribing system,
• to issue medical certificates as a personal physician for the registered population of his responsibility.

The maximum enrolled population in the personal physician is defined as one physician per 2,000 enrolled citizens. Therefore, the personal physician, who will sign a contract with EOPYY, will have a registered population of responsibility, from one to 2,000 people “per capita”, and the compensation is determined according to the registered population and by age group.

The duration of the contract will be for two years, with the possibility of automatic extension for an additional year, provided that it has not been terminated by one or the other party, and starts from its signature by both parties.

In order to simplify the administrative process, the remote access using digital tools to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles, the Procurement Directorate of EOPYY digitally processes the procurement process through the application EOPYY.eContracts (digital contracts).

The interested personal physician of the above specialties submits exclusively an electronic request for concluding a contract to the EOPYY Contracts Directorate through the web portal (website https://personaldoctors.eopyy.gov.gr/) where detailed instructions have been posted.
