Copo Cheio: Abracerva promotes congress on beer and gastronomy

Anhembi-Morumbi University will host a congress promoted by Abracerva (Brazilian Association of Craft Beer) and Sindicerv (National Union of the Beer Industry) that brings together the worlds of beer and gastronomy. The event takes place on the Vila Olímpia campus (r. Casa do Ator, 275, Vila Olímpia, west region) throughout Thursday (30).

With lectures, roundtables and workshops, the event called Cerveja É Gastronomia brings together numerous renowned professionals from both the brewing and gastronomic universe.

There is no admission charge, but the public is asked for 2 kg of non-perishable food, which will be donated to the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Social Center – Pompéia (SP).

The activities start at 9 am, with the lecture The Beer Category and the Gastronomy Market, with Gilberto Tarantino, from Abracerva and owner of Cervejaria Tarantino, and Mauro Homem, from Sindicerv.

There are several lectures throughout the day (see full schedule and sign up here). Among them, As Brasilidades do Gosto no Século 21, with Luiza Fecarotta (editor of Food Connection), Larissa Januário (Sabor & Arte) and Elaine de Azevedo (Print Pan), mediated by Bia Amorim (Abracerva), at 2 pm; or Beer as Food Throughout History, with Luís Celso Jr., from the Instituto da Cerveja Brasil and the website Bar do Celso.
