“The Thessaloniki Court of First Instance declared illegal the work stoppages announced by the OASTH Workers’ Union for July 5, 7 and 11, from 10 am to 4 pm”, the organization’s management said in a statement.

Speaking to Thestival, the President of the Workers’ Union of OASTH, Yannis Dimkas, said that he was informed by his lawyer about this decision, however, he announced that the work stoppages will take place as normal.

“We continue the normal work stoppages to assert our demands. Let’s not forget that in other work stoppages that we announced, they were ruled illegal at first instance, but we were vindicated at the Court of Appeal”, noted the President of the Workers’ Union of OASTH.

“I hope that logic prevails – The demands of the workers have been launched”.
For his part, the President and CEO of OASTH, Giorgos Skodras, addressed an appeal to the employees of the Organization not to proceed with the work stoppages, bothering the city.

“I hope that logic prevails. Everyone must understand that decisions and laws must be implemented”, noted the President and CEO of OASTH at Thestival.
