Greek universities are on the road to extroversion and international recognition, as the collaboration between the University of Athens and Harvard.

Specifically, today was the 1st day of the new summer program between the University of Athens and Harvard University – François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights with the subject “Modern Migration and Refugee Studies”.

The ambitious collaboration started about three years ago in an unfavorable environment due to the pandemic and today the program started with students from all over the world.

As the Minister of Education Niki Kerameos mentions in her post, this effort is added to a series of other recent collaborations between our own excellent HEIs and top Universities abroad, such as the University of Athens – University of Athens – Yale University collaboration for a Center of Excellence for Environmental Sciences and Public Health, NATIONAL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS – University of Michigan for a joint doctoral program in engineering, Ionian University – Johns Hopkins University (and U Texas) for a research program on disease control Alzheimer, International Hellenic University/International University of Greece – New York University for conducting a seminar in international commercial arbitration, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Stockton University for a two-year program of learning Greek language and culture and for exchanges in the field of American philo logic.

“This is the Greece we want! Another important step for our Universities to claim the position that rightfully belongs to them on the international academic map”, points out Mrs. Kerameos.
