Next week, the Head of the Greek Air Force will visit the USA as part of the bilateral cooperation between Greece and the USA and will take a tour of the F-35 production plant.
Taste of F-35 we took with the fighters that arrived at Crete and are going to join the weekend in exercise Greece-USA.
It is an interdisciplinary bilateral exercise called “Wrath of Poseidon” which started today in cooperation with the US.
It will be the 1st exercise of the F-35s in the Aegean and will be conducted with live fire at a firing range that has been reserved in the Aegean. Also, joint training will take place with Greek Rafale, F-16 and Mirage 2000-5.
According to top sources, he will also be tested “killer” combination Rafale – F-35. In particular, the F-35s will give targeting instructions to the Rafales, which they will launch from very long distances.
It is noted that during POSEIDON’S RAGE 22, for the first time:
- Joint operational training development of US 4th and 5th generation Fighter Aircraft.
- Deploying an entire Fighter Squadron to another base.
- Execution of training fires by F-35 Fighter Aircraft in the USEUCOM (US European Command) area of responsibility.
