However, the elderly woman was taken with respiratory problems and shortness of breath to the Health Center where the doctors deemed it absolutely necessary to transfer her to the Rethymnon Hospital where she will continue her treatment.

Due to the strong winds blowing in the area, the flames reached even the village of Orne with the mayor of Agios Vassiliou, Yiannis Tatarakis taking the decision to evacuate the area.
