In particular, according to the police, the traffic accident occurred when the passenger car driven by a 15-year-old without a license and moving towards Tripoli collided, under circumstances that are being investigated, with another car followed and driven by a 69-year-old, a citizen of the United Kingdom Basilio.
As a result of the collision, they were injured the 18-year-old sister fatally of the driver of the first car and a 17-year-old sitting in the back seats of the same vehicle. The 15-year-old was initially taken to the Corinth hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, the doctors decided that he should be transferred to an Athens hospital. The 18-year-old injured man was transported and is being treated at the Corinth hospital, while the 69-year-old foreigner in the second car was slightly injured and has been released from the hospital.
As part of the investigations carried out by the traffic police, the police officers are expected to take statements from the 18-year-old injured and the 69-year-old driver of the second car, as well as from citizens who may have passed by the scene at the time of the accident. Also, they are looking for video material from security cameras that may be operating in the area.
At the same time, they are trying to determine how the 15-year-old got the keys to the car, which, according to the police, belonged to his mother.
