“There are scattered houses in the area and in the ravine that was mainly the area of ​​the fire,” said the Mayor of Megaron, Grigoris Stamoulis.

“We have reports of damage to the houses in the Zahouli settlement,” he said in SKAI, the Deputy Regional Governor of Western Attica, Lefteris Kosmopoulos.

He added that so far there are no reports of trapped people, while he emphasized that the fire is very difficult as the wind makes extinguishing difficult. At the same time, he pointed out that the whole area is virgin forest.
