Due to the expected high temperatures, the Municipality of Athens will make available from tomorrow, Friday July 22, and until the end of the phenomenon, seven air-conditioned rooms for the protection of citizens.
The air-conditioned areas, which will operate from 08.00 am until 08.00 pm, are as follows:

They will be observed on the premises strictly all hygiene and safety rules provided for under the instructions of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) for Covid-19. The use of a mask will be mandatory throughout the citizens’ stay in the area, while there will be sufficient natural ventilation and an antiseptic solution to further protect the citizens.
Also, the streetwork teams of the Reception and Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (K.Y.A.D.A.) will continue their work throughout the heatwave, giving the city’s homeless population the necessary instructions for protect them from the heat. At the same time, they will offer them cool water, basic necessities and first aid, while they will inform them about the operation of the air-conditioned spaces provided by the Municipality.
