A fire broke out in Nea Zoi Mandras in agroforestry area. Ground and air forces were immediately mobilized. The inhabitants of the settlements New Life and New Sea they are called to evacuate their homes as a precaution and move towards Mandra.
For safety reasons, but also to allow the fire engines to move without delay, the police stopped traffic on the following roads:
– On the Elefsina-Thebes provincial road from the height of Agia Sotiras, in the traffic flow towards Mandra
– On the provincial road Elefsina – Thebes from the height of the Holy Church of Agia Anna, in the traffic flow towards Mandra
– On the unnamed street from the height of the Pontion settlement, in the traffic flow towards Mandra
26 firefighters with 13 vehicles and 2 aircraft from the air are operating at the scene. The ground forces are reinforced with 3 EMODE and 2 METPE. The forces are reinforced with an additional Erickson and an AB214. In total, there are 2 CL215, 2 Erickson, one AB214 and one CL415 operating in Mandra.
