The fire broke out yesterday at 17:05 east of the Athens – Thebes provincial road and 50 firefighters with 2 groups of infantry units, 22 vehicles, 5 aircraft, 3 helicopters were immediately mobilized to extinguish it.
A little later, at 18:02, a message was sent via 112 to the residents of the Neos Pontos and Nea Zoi settlements, asking them to evacuate the area as a precaution and head towards Mandra.
Furthermore, the fire that broke out yesterday at 15:27 in a forest area in Haidari at Mikro Schistos, has been contained.
To put it out, 70 firefighters, 2 groups of pedestrians, 23 vehicles, 2 aircraft, 2 helicopters were mobilized, while volunteers and municipal water tankers are assisting.
