It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and has a top speed of 175 km/h, while offering fuel economy of 3.8-4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 87-93 g/km.

New Mazda2 Hybrid brings for the first time the fully self-charging hybrid engine technology in the range of models of the Japanese company. The hybrid vehicle combines a 1490cc three-cylinder petrol engine producing 93bhp with a 59kW electric motor for a total system output of 116bhp.

He’s got acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and a top speed of 175 km/h. It offers fuel economy with 3.8-4 lt/100km and CO2 emissions of just 87-93g/km.

At start-up, the vehicle automatically operates in EV mode, offering smooth, seamless and quiet electrified operation in urban environments, with zero CO2, NOx and particulate emissions.

During normal driving, the power distribution is adjusted between the petrol engine and the electric motor for optimal performance and the best possible fuel efficiency. During deceleration and braking, kinetic energy is recovered as electricity for storage in the high-performance battery.

The battery power level is continuously regulated via an engine-driven generator, to eliminate any need to recharge the system from an external source.

Although it is a compact B-class vehicle, the new Mazda2 Hybrid’s long 2,560mm wheelbase offers comfort for up to four adult passengers, as well as 286 liters of luggage space.

Alongside the Mazda2 Hybrid, the Mazda2 will continue to be available as usual. The latter is made in Japan and is available with an MT manual transmission and MHybrid Skyacti G90 engine, while the Mazda2 Hybrid is available exclusively with an AT automatic transmission and full hybrid technology.
