A Canadian confectionery company is offering a very “sweet” job, according to CNN Buisness.
“Candy Funhouse” is an online candy store looking for a Chief Candy Officer, with an annual salary of $78,000. The candidate will work from home and evaluate the sweets and chocolates they will taste – approximately 117 sweets per day.
The ad posted on LinkedIn has attracted the interest of thousands of applicants, CEO Jamal Hejazi said. He noted that he has been surprised by the number of applications but also by the videos of families offering to share the duties and salary of the tasting.

According to the ad, the position also concerns children from the age of five and in fact many parents have videotaped their child filling out the application and have published it on the internet.
Candy Funhouse, based outside of Toronto, is a family business run by four brothers. Its sales in 2021 showed a significant increase due to the pandemic, “almost $15 million”, assured Hejazi.
Right now, the company is gearing up for Halloween, last year’s biggest selling season.
