Santorini: 4 young men brutally beat a 33-year-old – In critical condition in Athens

The police arrested the perpetrators. A criminal case was filed against them.

A foreign man was savagely attacked in Santorini by four young men, aged 16, 18, 19 and 20, on Thursday night.

After arguing with the 33-year-old, the perpetrators punched him and took his personal belongings.

The 33-year-old was transported by ambulance of the E.K.A.B. at the General Hospital of Thira and then transferred to a hospital in Attica, where he is hospitalized in a critical condition.

The police immediately investigated the case and arrested the perpetrators. A total of 460 euros and 3 mobile phones and a bank-credit card were found in their possession and confiscated.

A criminal case was filed against them for causing grievous bodily harm and committing robbery as an accomplice.

Those arrested will be taken to the Naxos District Court.

A case of robbery and serious bodily harm against a 33-year-old foreigner in Thira was immediately solved and the perpetrators were identified.

These are four foreigners, aged 16, 18, 19 and 20, who were arrested yesterday (August 11, 2022) in the evening and a criminal case was filed against them for causing grievous bodily harm and committing robbery with complicity.

In particular, as was ascertained in the context of a thorough police investigation, yesterday early morning in Fira Thiras, after arguing with the 33-year-old, the perpetrators punched him and took his personal belongings.

The 33-year-old was transported by ambulance of the E.K.A.B. at the General Hospital of Thira and then transferred to a hospital in Attica, where he is hospitalized in a critical condition.

Police officers who were informed about the incident managed to locate and identify the perpetrators as part of police searches.

A total of 460 euros and 3 mobile phones and a bank-credit card were found in their possession and confiscated.

Those arrested will be taken to the Naxos District Court.
