Heatwave with 40 degrees in the next three days – Emergency bulletin from the EMY

High temperatures will prevail over the next three days in our country. The rise in temperature it will start tomorrow Thursday from the west and continue on Friday. On Saturday, the temperature will drop slightly in western and northern Greece, but will remain high in all other areas. Its maximum value is predicted to reach their continental shelf in some places 40 to 41 degrees and on the islands 37 degrees Celsius.

1. Her Thursday (18-08-2022) the maximum value of the temperature is predicted to reach 38 to 39 on the mainland and in places in the west (and mainly in Aitoloakarnania) 40 degrees Celsius and on the islands 35 to 36.

2. Her Friday (19-08-2022) the maximum value of the temperature is predicted to reach the continental 39 to 40 and locally in Thessaly and the eastern mainland 41 degrees and on the islands 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.

3. The Saturday (20-08-2022) the temperature in the west and north of the country will drop by 2 to 3 degrees, but in the eastern continents its maximum value will reach 39 to 40 degrees Celsius. It is pointed out that from the afternoon hours of Saturday, a change in the weather is expected from the northwest, with storms that will probably be strong in places and will be accompanied by strong winds.

4. Her Sunday (21-08-2022) the temperature will mark noticeable drop throughout the country and will return close to the normal levels for the season (in most areas its maximum value at 32 to 35 degrees Celsius), while the weather in northern Greece and especially in Macedonia, will be unstable.
