As stated in a DYPA announcement, the purpose of the program is the intellectual development of the workforce and the support of businesses in the book field.
It starts on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 12:00the electronic submission of applications by beneficiaries and providers for the program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) to grant checks for the purchase of books for the year 2022. The applications of interested beneficiaries and providers will be submitted until August 25, 2022, at 23:59.
As stated in a DYPA announcement, the purpose of the program is the intellectual development of the workforce and the support of businesses in the book field.
They will be issued in total 150,000 checksworth 20 euros each, including VAT, with a budget of 3 million euros.
With the check, which is in the form of a unique electronic code number, the beneficiaries and beneficiaries can buy any book they choose from the bookstores and publishing houses of the register of providers with a 10% discount.
The applications of the interested beneficiaries will be submitted exclusively online, through the Single Digital Portal of the Greek Government gov.gr, at the online address: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/ epitages-agoras-biblion.

Beneficiaries are employed and unemployed persons who in 2021 accumulated 50 days:
- of work in the e-EFKA insurance (t. IKA-ETAM) or
- special provision of maternity protection or
- unemployment benefit or long-term unemployment or
- combination of the above.
Beneficiaries are also unemployed persons registered in the Register of Unemployed Persons of the D.Y.P.A., who have a continuous period of unemployment at the end of the application deadline of at least four months.
Beneficiaries of the program are the spouses of the beneficiaries, when they are indirectly insured members, as well as the children of the beneficiaries over the age of five, provided that they are indirectly insured members of their own or the other parent.
The selection system is based on the scoring of beneficiaries based on their income and the order of priority of submitting their application.
Providers of the program are bookstores and publishing houses of any legal form, which have a legal license to operate.
The applications of the interested providers will be submitted exclusively online, through the Single Digital Portal of the Greek Government gov.gr, at the online address: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/ parokhoi-epitagon-agoras-biblion.

It is noted that providers who want to apply for multiple branches must have D.Y.P.A. codes.
As pointed out in the announcement, it is not required to present supporting documents. In the few cases where supporting documents are required, they are attached to the online applications.
