DYPA: The total number of registered unemployed in July reached 948,930 people

The total number of registered others (non-jobseekers) amounted to 6,537 people.

The total number of registered unemployed people was 948,930 in July 2022 compared to 921,647 people in June 2022 (percentage change +2.96%) and compared to 1,002,261 people in July 2021 (percentage change -5.32%), according to Civil Service registered unemployment statistics of Employment (DYPA).

In particular, the total number of registered unemployed, based on job search (jobseekers), in July 2022, amounted to 942,393 people. Of these, 518,759 people (55.05%) are registered in the DYPA register for a period equal to or more than 12 months and 423,634 (44.95%) are registered in the DYPA register for a period of less than 12 months . Males numbered 308,692 (percentage of 32.76%) and females numbered 633,701 (percentage of 67.24%).

The total number of registered others (non-jobseekers), in July 2022, amounted to 6,537 people. Males numbered 2,402 (percentage 36.74%) and females numbered 4,135 (percentage 63.26%).

The total number of subsidized unemployed people, in July 2022, (refers to the number of beneficiaries who were paid within the corresponding month), amounted to 143,367 people, of which 133,123 (92.85%) are common and other subsidized categories and the 10,244 (7.15% rate) are seasonal tourist occupations. Males numbered 51,511 (percentage of 35.93%) and females numbered 91,856 (percentage of 64.07%).

Of the total number of subsidized unemployed, 108,942 (percentage 75.99%) are common, 1,998 (percentage 1.39%) are builders, 10,244 (percentage 7.15%) are seasonal tourist occupations, 1,209 (percentage 0.84%) are seasonal others (agricultural), 20,884 (percentage 14.57%) are educational and 90 (percentage 0.06%) are others.
