The political world expressed warm congratulations to the European javelin champion, Elina Jengo.

The Greek athlete impressed with her performance in the final and with a shot at 65.81 m. (second attempt) managed to win the gold medal breaking her previous individual record (65.40m)

“The Greek flag high again. The young Elina Tzengo gave us the 4th medal in the European. Athletics Championship, throwing her javelin at 65.81m! Elina, the whole future is yours,” wrote the Deputy Minister of Sports in a post on twitter. Lefteris Avgenakis.

“‘Another gold medal, once again Greek sports at the top”, is pointed out in a post by the PASOK-Movement for Change on Twitter.

“We congratulate the European champion Elina Jengo who prevailed in the javelin final with an amazing throw of 65.81 meters!”, MeRA25 press representative Michalis Kritharidis notes in his post on Twitter.

And he adds: “Elina’s gold comes to be added to the rest of the huge successes of our athletes who make us very proud in Munich! Thank you”.

“Fourth gold medal for Greece at the European Athletics Championships in Munich!”, says the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias in a post on twitter.

“Our 19-year-old javelin athlete, Elina Jengo, proved that her future is worth it. Congratulations!”, he adds.

“Fourth gold for Greece!”, says Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis in a post on Twitter.

“‘Another gold medal for our country at the European Athletics Championships in Munich, this time in the javelin by the unbeatable 19-year-old Greek Champion Elina Jengo. Congratulations!”, he adds.
