Thessaloniki: They attacked a 37-year-old man and shot him – One of the perpetrators was arrested

A 37-year-old man was violently attacked by three people yesterday in Thessaloniki, who even shot him in the legs. EL.AS proceeded to arrest a 26-year-old, while the other two are being sought.

The attempted murder of a 37-year-old citizen, which took place yesterday, was investigated after the immediate preliminary investigation by the Security Department of Ampelokipi – Menemeni.

Three (3) citizens aged 28, 26 and 23 years old were identified as the perpetrators, one (1) of whom was arrested, and a case file was filed against them, as the case may be, for attempted manslaughter and violation of the Weapons Law.

In particular, as emerged from the police investigation, in the early hours of 22-08-2022 in the area of ​​Dendropotamos, two (2) of the above assaulted the 37-year-old with physical violence, for an unknown reason, while the other accomplice shot at him , injuring him in the legs.

In the context of an organized operation carried out on the same day, the 26-year-old was identified and arrested in the area of ​​Evosmos by police officers of the responsible Service, with the assistance of their colleagues from the Department of Prevention and Suppression of Crime of the Directorate of Security of Thessaloniki, who will be taken to the competent courts authorities.

The injured man was picked up by an ambulance station and taken to a city hospital where he is being treated.

Investigations are continuing to locate and arrest the other two accomplices.
