An autopsy has been requested from the Coast Guard, while the father, as reported by korinthostv.gr, told the Coast Guard yesterday that he had put a life jacket on his child and swam with him in the water.

He then claimed that he tried to get his daughter onto a tied boat but it slipped from his handsthe life jacket slipped from her waist and the little girl was found at the bottom at a depth of 6 meters, with her father stating that he was unable to dive to save the child as he has an asthma problem.

According to what he said, he went ashore to seek helphowever he claimed that he did not have his mobile phone with him and walked for a long time to find someone.

Finally, she was spotted by speargunners under a boat, who took her ashore and provided her with first aid, and then she was transported by ambulance to Corinth General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
