Social Tourism: From today the redistribution of unused tickets

by

Beneficiaries of the redistribution are all those who were drawn and did not receive their tickets until 30/8/2022 and all those who applied to participate in the above programs and were not drawn.

Today, September 5, 2022, the redistribution of unused vouchers for social, thermal tourism-excursions and theater programs begins, as announced by the administration of the Organization of Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA).

The beneficiaries of the redistribution are:

  • all those who were drawn and did not receive their tickets until 30/8/2022,
  • all those who applied to participate in the above programs and were not drawn.

The redistribution will be done in order of priority of attendance at the KEPs.

In its announcement, OPECA points out the following:

In social-thermal tourism and excursion tourism programs, an important role is played by:

a) the order of preference and

b) the first choice in the participation application

  1. Thus, if, for example, a beneficiary had chosen the social tourism program as his first choice, but was drawn in the excursion tourism program and has not printed his ticket until 30/8/2022, he is allowed to participate in the program on a priority basis of social tourism.
  2. Whereas, if a beneficiary had chosen the spa tourism program as the first choice and was not drawn in any tourism program or was drawn in the spa or social or excursion tourism program and has not printed his ticket until 8/30/2022, he participates in order only in the spa tourism program.
  3. However, in case of exhaustion of the spa tourism tickets, he will also be able to participate in the social tourism, (although and if he had chosen it in his participation application).
  4. On the contrary, if someone declared the excursion program as their first preference in the participation application and was drawn in it, (regardless of whether they have printed their ticket or not), they cannot participate in order of priority in any other program, apart from that excursion program.

In order for the beneficiaries to receive the unused social-thermal tourism vouchers, they should take the following actions:

A. Reservation of a room in a tourist accommodation from the list of contracted tourist accommodation posted on the OPEKA website www.opeka.gr/ agrotiki-estia/ilektronikes_ypiresies/, from which confirmation of the reservation (e.g. voucher) is requested.

B. From 5/9/2022 and from 12:00 onwards, registration of information related to the reservation of the room (name of accommodation, period of stay) in the relevant electronic application, http://apps.ogaservices.gr/apps/proanaggelia , which is available on the OPECA website from the beneficiaries themselves or through KEP.

C. Beneficiaries should, after registering the room reservation in the OPEKA online application, come to the KEP on the same day (after at least 30 minutes from the registration), to collect their tickets. Otherwise, beneficiaries will lose their tickets, which will be available again.

Beneficiaries receive vouchers that include the details of the tourist accommodation, in which the reservation was made. Vouchers are only valid for accommodations whose details are pre-printed on them. Bulletins that do not have the company’s information pre-printed when printed by the KEP are considered invalid.

Also, tickets are strictly personal and may not be used by other persons, even if they are members of the beneficiary’s family.- For the free theater ticket program, the order of preference in the application for participation does not affect participation priority order redistribution. Thus, everyone who applied to participate in the program can participate, including those drawn who did not receive their tickets until 30/8/2022.

The lists of businesses contracted with LAE/OPEKA for all programs of the Rural Home, as well as useful information for the beneficiaries, are available on the website of the OPECA (contracted businesses of the Rural Home) and respectively (Agricultural Home programs – information for beneficiaries).
