Work stoppages have been announced for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.
Possible delays and cancellations of some train routes are expected tomorrow, Tuesday, September 6, as the Panhellenic Staff Union TRAINhas announced work stoppages for personnel specializing in train movement and control, passenger service and bus drivers, nationwide, during from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 21:00 to 23:59.
The management of Hellenic Train has fled to justice, without, however, until now, having received an official decision from the court: “Regarding the nationwide work stoppages they have announced the PEP and SEP Unions for tomorrow, Tuesday 6/9, Hellenic Train has not yet received the official decision of the court. Therefore, for the time being, it is not able to inform the passenger public accordingly about any delays or cancellations of tomorrow’s routes”, it says in a message sent by the company.
The unions that have announced the mobilizations, in their statement, point out that they are “the last resort to which we resort to protect the health, physical integrity and dignity of all workers in trains at stations and bus drivers. Despite our strong protests, the workers on the trains, but also at the stations, due to the systematic delays and cancellations of routes, continue to be attacked during their work by passengers, delinquents and / or simply enraged, and to face risks to the their physical integrity and their health”.
