As the minister said, some pensioners will get all three increases

The vast majority of pensioners will see increases in their pensions from 2023, Labor Minister Kostis Hatzidakis told SKAI 100.3, noting that these increases were planned.

Although he did not specify the amount of the increases, as it is determined by the percentage of the GDP, the Minister of Labor emphasized that it will concern all pensioners, except those who have a big personal difference.

They, as he said, will “gnaw” the personal difference and be in a favorable position for the next increase.

He added that there will also be an indirect increase in pensions through the abolition of the extraordinary solidarity contribution to pensioners and civil servants. Note that those who have an income of more than 12,000 euros per year are positively affected, i.e. about 1 million pensioners.

A third increase in pensions will come from the fourth tranche of pension recalculations of the Brutsis Act, meaning another 150,000 pensioners with an insurance life of more than 30 years will see an increase.

As the minister said, some pensioners will get all three increases.

He noted that these are permanent increases and underlined that there would be more scope for increases, “if we didn’t have the calamity with the energy crisis”.

Regarding the debts to EFKA, the Minister of Labor emphasized that we are exhausting all possibilities.

On the issue of pensions he said that in the last 18-19 months alone, 400,000 main pensions have been issued.
