The 23-year-old disabled woman reported rape by her uncle she had been chased by her mother from the house they are staying in Volos, as broadcast by ERT.
Yesterday, testifying in court where her mother was on trial, the 23-year-old girl reported that her uncle had raped her one day before kicking her out of the house her mother last Sunday September 4 as well as last November at their home in a village of Kalambaka.
It is noted that the house they are staying in Volos belongs to her uncle, whom she reported for visa. The court then ordered the case file to be forwarded back to the Volos First Instance Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the matter. Such a the 23-year-old’s mother as well as her sister and aunt and sister of the 40-year-old who was reported for rape, they seem to have known what was going on. The girl stated in her statement that she was arguing with her mother because she did not allow her to report the incident to the police.
However, her mother stated that she is unemployed and supported by her siblings who live in Volos, while she and her two daughters live in a village in Kalambaka.
Her 50-year-old mother, who sat on the bench yesterday, apologizing, said that she does not work and that her brothers support her. In fact, the court had appointed Volos lawyer Mr. Asimoris as her defense attorney.
