Police in Thessaloniki arrested a 43-year-old man involved in the illegal transportation of foreigners.
According to the Police, in the context of patrols on Egnatia Odos, at the Redina junction, police officers located I.X.E. car with foreign registration plates, the driver of which, in order to avoid an imminent control, first developed speed and then immobilized it trying to escape on foot. After a foot chase, he was stopped and arrested, despite the strong resistance he put up.
This is a 43-year-old foreigner, who illegally transported foreigners, two of them in the trunk, who lacked documents for their legal stay in Greek territory.
