The subsidy concerns the purchase of air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and ranges from 135 to 710 euros.
Until November 1st, the deadline for the purchase of new electrical appliances under the “Recycle – Change Device” program is extended.
“The Ministry of Environment and Energy announces the extension of the period for purchases using coupons for new non-energy-intensive electrical appliances, through the “Recycle – Change Device” Program. The new deadline for purchases is November 1, 2022, while the original deadline was September 16, 2022,” the ministry’s statement said.
It is recalled that the subsidy concerns the purchase of air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers and ranges from 135 to 710 euros. Each household that joins the subsidy program has the opportunity to replace up to three electrical appliances (up to two air conditioners, one refrigerator or one freezer) for the main or secondary residence, owned or rented.
Beneficiaries of the program are all households regardless of income.
However, the subsidy percentage is given based on income categorization, while the vulnerable, those with many children, single parents, as well as families with a disabled member, are given additional points.
The subsidy amounts are structured as follows:
· From 5,000 euros and below, the beneficiary is entitled to a 50% subsidy.
· Over 5,000 euros and up to 10,000 euros, the beneficiary is entitled to a 45% subsidy.
· Over 10,000 euros and up to 20,000 euros, the beneficiary is entitled to a 35% subsidy.
· Over 20,000 euros, the beneficiary is entitled to a 30% subsidy.
Those who receive the subsidy will have until September 16 to buy the new devices, while the withdrawal of the old ones will have to take place until September 30.
