Earlier, new tension had been created while a concert was in progress at the Faculty of Philosophy of AUTH when incidents broke out for an unknown reason between members of the wider anti-authoritarian scene and the police forces.

Egnatia Street, at the height of the Universities, turned into a battlefield immediately after the gathering of a large number of people in Kamara.

A “war” broke out, with objects such as rocks and Molotov cocktails being thrown at the police, with the latter responding by using chemicals, flash grenades, and water from “Aida”.
