New Year’s Eve with private events is an option for the turnaround

This Tuesday (7), the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), confirmed that the parties and shows of the traditional Copacabana New Year’s Eve are cancelled, and that there will only be fireworks on the beach in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro and elsewhere of the Marvelous City.

The same goes for New Year’s Eve on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, which was canceled by the city in the first week of December, after a study on the epidemiological situation in the city, and for the main capitals of the country.

Despite the pandemic and the risk of advancing the omicron variant in Brazil, private events are allowed, such as those scheduled in bars, restaurants and hotels. Therefore, use a mask to circulate in common spaces, favor open spaces and take the booster dose of the vaccine when available.

“In the same way that I may not allow a person wearing swimwear to enter my event, I want the people who work with me to feel comfortable. So I will continue to ask for the full immunization card to enter my event”, warns businessman Facundo Guerra, partner of Blue Note, Lions, Yatch and Cine Joia.
