About the “Eunomy” and “Medusa” exercises, the head of GEETHA discussed with his Cypriot counterpart

The head of GEETHA emphasizes, among other things, that they also discussed “our joint participation in a significant number of multilateral corporate structures that, on the one hand, create productive and honest cooperation relationships, and on the other hand, and by common acceptance, promote security and stability.”

The close military cooperation between Greece and Cyprus as well as the further deepening of it in view of the upcoming multinational exercises “Eunomy” and “Medusa” were the issues that were put at the center of the meeting between the head of the Greek Army, General Konstantinos Floros and the Cypriot counterpart of the head of the National Guard , lieutenant general Demokritos Zervakis.

With his post on Facebook, the leader of GEETHA, who is visiting Cyprus, emphasizes, among other things, that they also discussed “our joint participation in a significant number of multilateral corporate schemes that, on the one hand, create productive and honest cooperation relationships, on the other hand, in common acceptance promote security and stability’.

“Just as important”, he continues, “my meeting with the Minister of Defense of Cyprus Haralambos Petridis, with whom we exchanged views both on Turkey’s revisionist behavior and on its wider consequences, on current international developments, on defense challenges and security faced by Greece and Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the situation in Ukraine after the Russian invasion”.
