The developments in the case of the rape of the 12-year-old girl in Colonos are stormy, as her mother was also arrested on charges of pimping. Meanwhile, the other two defendants, Ilias Michos and Yiannis Sofianidis, were sentenced to pre-trial detention with the agreement of the investigator and prosecutor after their apologies today.

The mother of the 12-year-old girl who was arrested on charges of pimping has been in the Attica Police since early afternoon. The warrant was executed while the mother had gone to GADA in order to accompany her daughter to give a supplementary statement. A police car had picked up the child and the mother from their home and GADA notified her of the warrant against her and arrested her.

What led to the mother’s arrest

In a further gruesome development, the authorities found that the mother was in frequent contact with the 53-year-old man accused of pimping and raping her child, while numerous transfers were also traced to her bank account from the same man.

At the same time, the 53-year-old and the 42-year-old who is also accused of raping the 12-year-old, after their confession, went to prison.

In fact, at the investigator’s office, they described the most serious crime they face, that of rape, as a sexual relationship, while they also denied the accusation of pimping.
