The “VOLFA 2022” Multinational Exercise with aircraft from France, the USA, Spain, Portugal, Canada, the UAE, Greece and Italy has been completed.
The Multinational Exercise named “VOLFA 2022” concluded on Friday, October 14, 2022, held at the Mont de Marsan Air Base in France, with the participation of 60 aircraft and helicopters from a total of 8 Countries (France, Greece, UAE, USA, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal), as well as observers from Australia, the United Kingdom, Georgia and Japan.
“VOLFA 2022” is an INVITEX-LIVEX type exercise starting on Monday, September 26, 2022 and aimed at increasing the readiness and combat capability of the units of the participating countries.
The Hellenic Armed Forces participated with 4 Air Force F-16 Block 52+ Fighters and 44 Officers and NCOs from the 115th Fighter Wing.
During the Exercise, objects of complex air missions were executed that covered the entire range of air operations, in an electronic warfare and multiple threat environment. Specifically executed items: Defensive/Offensive Counter Air. Close Air Support. Air Interdiction. Dynamic Targeting. Combat Search and Rescue. Time Sensitive Targeting (Time Sensitive Targeting).
