The lawyer of the “11” in SKAI: They may misinterpret the constitution

by

The 11 arrested for the abduction of the high school principal in Pieria are under investigation.

As their lawyer, Vassilis Noulezas, told SKAI, they will ask for a deadline for Tuesday, for their apology.

The “11” declare that they belong to the “Guardians of the Constitution”, however the president stated that they do not belong to them and that they operated on their own.

Mr. Noulezas said that those arrested claim that the extreme legislative interventions implemented by the government in the name of dealing with the pandemic have catalyzed the constitution and the democratic state and consider that this is how Article 120 is activated.

“Article 120, in short, says that it is left to the constitutional patriotism of Greek citizens to preserve the constitution when it is catalyzed,” he said.

Mr. Noulezas stated that he disagrees with any form of violence and that they may misinterpret the constitution. He also stressed that he does not agree with their views, however it is too early to condemn them.

According to the Ministry of Civil Protection, only three of the 11 have children at school. The rest are from surrounding areas.
