Thirty refugees and immigrants which were detected in Nenita of Chiostoday Monday, the 27 were transferred to the quarantine structure in Lefkonia and the three to the Chios hospital, mostly for preventive reasons mainly due to exhaustion.
However, according to astraparis.gr, it has not yet been clarified whether it is today’s arrival, since most of them were seen today in the Neneti settlement from where they were rounded up by the police, or whether it is the arrival (on a Neneti beach) of last Saturday.
For the Saturday arrival, there was no information on the fate of the refugees and migrants, despite the fact that the boat carrying them had been found, torn up and abandoned on a beach in the area, as well as the presence of police forces looking for them in the wider area.
With the new arrival the total number of refugees and immigrants exceeds 300hosted at the reception and identification center of VIAL and at the Lefkonia structure.
