In an atmosphere of pain and intense emotional charge, the family, friends and dozens of colleagues said goodbye to the journalist Antonis Skyllakos, at his last residence at the Municipal Cemetery of Melissia at noon on Saturday.
Particularly beloved in the journalistic world, Antonis excelled as a reporter as well as a manager and his sudden loss, yesterday, caused a shock.
In her funeral speech, the president of ESIEA, Maria Antoniadou, spoke on behalf of the Union’s Board of Directors about the courage, integrity, bravery of Antonis as well as his brilliant career in journalism.
The loss of Antonis Skyllakos leaves a gap that cannot be filled in the field, we will miss his competitiveness, his friendship, his speech and his pioneering ideas, he emphasized.
Condolences to his wife Evangelia and his daughter Christiana, on behalf of ESIEA, were conveyed by Ms. Antoniadou.
Among others, wreaths were sent by ESIEA, APE-MBE and the Antonis Samaras family.
At the funeral they attended among others: Christos Papoutsis, Thodoros Rousopoulos, Sylvana Rapti, Marilisa Xenogiannakopoulou, Stavros Theodorakis, the president of APE-MPE Emilios Perdikaris and the former president of the Agency Michalis Psyllos, as well as members of the Board of Directors of ESIEA and EDOEAP.
