“Fortress” will remind the center of Athens todaydue to the events and gatherings for the 49th anniversary of the Polytechnic.
It is estimated that more than 5,500 police officers of all services will be deployed in the center of the capital, mainly in key points such as universities, embassies and ministries in order to prevent raiding attacks or occupations.
The two ELAS helicopters as well as the drones will be the “eyes” of the police from the air, as they will provide a live view of the police operations center.
Alongside there will also be a prosecutor in the business center.
On the road will also be the “airs” of ELAS which will move discreetly but parallel to the gatherings, in order to be used where necessary.
Workers, agencies, unions and unions will be on the street to commemorate the uprising of the Polytechnic University.
Specifically at 16:30 in Klathmonos square unions, workers’ unions, ADEDY and GSEE give “appointments”. Then they will make the customary march to the American embassy.
Student associations will gather at the same time in the Propylaea while the KKE has called for a rally at 17:00 at the junction of Stadiou and Georgiou Stavros streets and in Hauteia, while this, like every year, will march towards the American embassy.
Concentration anarchist organizations have also announced for today at noon.
Commemorative events and marches will be held in other cities of the country.
Emergency traffic regulations are already in force due to the events.
Specifically, from Tuesday morning until 06:00 on Friday, it is prohibited to stop and park vehicles on the following streets:

According to the traffic police, all the above traffic regulations will be implemented gradually depending on the traffic conditions.
There will be changes to the trolley and bus routes and stops, while regarding the metro according to STASY, the “Megaro Musikis” Metro station will close at 15:00 and the “Syntagma” and “Evangelismos” stations will close at 16:30.
