The Papafi station in Thessaloniki opened its gates to the public today, with visitors being outside the metro station since the morning in order to take a tour of the facilities and board a metro train, as part of Open House Thessaloniki 2022.
In fact, the president of Attiko Metro S.A. Nikos Tachiaos welcomed the first visitors, informed them about the metro and answered their questions.
Visitors had the opportunity to see the automated train of the Thessaloniki metro at Papafi station up close this morning as part of the Open House.
The state-of-the-art train started from the depot and arrived at Papafi station in just a few minutes by itself, as it does not need a driver to operate.
