The prime minister gave a more… relaxed and humane interview to Natalia Germanou – She answered how she relaxes at night and what ring tone she has on her personal mobile phone
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis gave Natalia Germanou a more… relaxed and humane interview.
To the question of how he relaxes and unwinds after a difficult day, when things have not gone well, the prime minister replied “like the whole world. Sports, casual conversation with husband, movie on Netflix, watching football, reading….”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as a father, answered diplomatically why he fights with his children… “You better ask them yourself… but Mareva complains when they don’t call her (the children)”.
He also revealed the ring tone on his personal cell phone: a fast happy track from the first Star Wars.
But the prime minister also spoke about the very serious issue that had arisen with the Ark of the World and has upset Greek society.
“The children are safe. We are moving to deinstitutionalize children – just like the previous government. I have confidence in the new management who have enthusiastically taken on this mission. We have made procedures to speed up adoptions as well, not just fostering. However, there is still a long way to go,” he said.
Regarding the areas in which the government needs to do more things, the Prime Minister pointed out that Health and Justice are in order.
“We still have a lot of work to do in Health. The NHS was tested in the pandemic and then there was a fatigue in everyone, an exhaustion. Policies that will help us have a healthier population are our priority. A second area in which we have work to do is Justice. There is a feeling that it is lingering.. don’t forget that it is the refuge of the weak. We must intensify our efforts in everything to do with the protection of the environment. We have a national strategy for gender equality. I would like more women in positions of power and in politics. Regarding the participation in the Parliament, although we have more women on the ballots, in the end we have fewer in the Parliament. Do women not vote for women?”, said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
