“Whether there will be consensus after the elections depends not only on us but also on others. We aim for self-reliance”, he emphasized

There are no longer any backlogs with regard to main pensions except in a very few extremely complex cases” he emphasized to 100.3 the labor minister Kostis Hatzidakis.

At the same time, he noted that the competent services have started to deal with the auxiliary pensions and estimated that it will be a matter of a few months to liquidate the auxiliary pensions as well.

Commenting on the announcement by SYRIZA that accuses the government of constitutional and democratic deviation on the occasion of the surveillance case, Mr. Hatzidakis specifically stated that “since 1974 the elections have never been disputed” even saying “it is another matter if SYRIZA is looking for an excuse for the upcoming defeat».

The Minister of Labor also stated that people see the efforts the government is makinghe sees where unemployment was and where it is now, he sees the interventions that have been made in a number of sectors and he can make comparisons about who can handle difficult situations and who cannot.

Answering a question for the possibility of post-election collaborationsthe minister emphasized that the very composition of the current government testifies to the prime minister’s intention for convergences as it is made up of broader forces.

“Whether there will be consensus after the elections depends not only on us but also on others. We aim for self-reliance“, underlined Mr. Hatzidakis and even emphasized that “self-reliance becomes more necessary in our country than, for example, in Germany where there is a tradition of cooperation”.
