The connection of gov.gr with the National Register of Proceedings “Mitos” begins

by

More direct and easier to inform the citizen about each process

A new era in citizens’ access to public information concerning public services and procedures is being launched today by the Ministry of Digital Governance through its pilot interface gov.gr with the National Register of Administrative Procedures “Mitos” (mitos.gov.gr).

Specifically, a link will gradually be added to the home page of each digital service on gov.gr, which will refer to the details and the detailed description of the process, as it is recorded in “Mito”.

In this way, a basic interface between services and State registers is made and citizens are given the possibility to be able to easily and simply search for every detail related to their service process.

Already more than thirty services of gov.gr have activated the referral to “Mito”. Among them are the issuance of authorization and responsible declaration, the issuance of public registry certificates and notarial documents, the application for unemployment benefit, the issuance of a TIN to a natural person, the child benefit, the copy of the criminal record and the application for the issuance of a civil marriage license.

It is recalled that the National Register of Administrative Procedures “Mitos” (mitos.gov.gr) was presented and put into pilot operation at the beginning of last July.

It was designed and developed by the General Secretariat of Digital Governance and Process Simplification and is technically implemented by the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures SA (EDYTE SA – GRNET), a body of the Ministry of Digital Governance.

This is a cut in the functioning of the citizen’s interaction with the state, as the latter will know in advance what exactly is required in order to be served. The registration of each procedure is completed by the provision of a unique code number, which constitutes the identity of each procedure in the National Register of Procedures.

In less than five months, more than 2,000 procedures have been published, for which citizens can search for implementation stages, physical and/or digital service points, number of supporting documents, estimated processing time and cost.

In addition, over 2,500 more procedures are in the process of being edited, approved or published and will soon be accessible to citizens.
