As part of the police investigation, the ELAS man who used his service weapon to immobilize the vehicle was identified.

The police officer was arrested which allegedly shot the 16-year-old car driver during a pursuit in the early hours of Monday.

This is a man from the DIAS group who is being detained by order of the prosecutor and is expected to be brought to the Thessaloniki Courthouse tomorrow for further proceedings.
According to the first information, the minor tried to hit the policemen who were pursuing him, while he was maneuvering the vehicle he was shot in the head from behind.

As part of the police investigation the ELAS man was located who used his service weapon to immobilize the vehicle.

It all happened when, according to information, a Roma minor put fuel in his IX semi-truck at a gas station on Monastiriou Street and left without paying.

The police were informed. The 16-year-old was shot in the head during his pursuit by the police authorities.

Parents, relatives and friends of the minor are currently at the Hippocrates Hospital of Thessaloniki where they are anxiously waiting to learn the latest news about the unfortunate child’s health.
