Corona virus: 43,748 cases in the last week – 91 intubated and 154 deaths

EODY announced the last week’s data on the pandemic in our country

In the week from November 28 to December 4, 43,748 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, of which reinfections account for 28% of infections.

According to the EODY, in the last week another 154 deaths of patients with coronavirus were recorded, while those intubated amount to 91.

The reference week 43,748 cases were recorded COVID-19 (4,193 per million population: -1% weekly change) of which reinfections account for 28% of infections. The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 5,448,700 of which 52.2% are women.

The total number of admissions to the territory’s hospitals in the reference week was 1,188 patients (7-month period: 170, -7% weekly change), while the total number of discharges amounted to 1,056 patients (7-month period: 151, -16% weekly change). The number of patients being treated intubated until the end of the reporting week is 91 (70.3% men) with a median age of 76 years and 98.9% having an underlying disease and/or age of 70 years or older.

In the reporting week, 154 deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded (15 per million population: 19% weekly change) of which 23 (15%) died after at least 29 days from the date of laboratory confirmation of COVID-19 infection, while since the start of the epidemic, a total of 34,482 deaths have been recorded, with 96.1% having an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The total importsin the territory’s hospitals, during the reporting week there were 1,188 patients (7-month period: 170, -7% weekly change), while the total number of discharges amounts to 1,056 patients (7-month period: 151, -16% weekly change).3

THE number of patients hospitalized intubated until the end of the reference week are 91 (70.3% men) with a median age of 76 years and 98.9% having an underlying disease and/or
age 70 and over.

THE median age of cases is 39 yearswhile the median age of the deceased is 80 years.
