Extensive incidents took place in the center of Thessaloniki, after 8 pm, after the completion of the march in memory of Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
ELAS carried out at least 15 arrests who were allegedly involved in the incidents.
Hooded men outside the Turkish consulate, on Apostolou Pavlou Street, threw hundreds of Molotov cocktails, flares and stones at the police forces, who responded with the use of chemicals. Afterwards, the scene of the tension was moved to Olympiados Street. Buckets were engulfed in flames.

The march had mass participation and started around 7 pm from Kamara, with the participation of collectives of the extra-parliamentary Left and individuals from the wider anti-authoritarian space.
The demonstrators initially moved in the direction of Ethnikis Amynas Street, Tsimiski, Ionos Dragoumi and returned to Egnatia. A little after 8 they returned to the Chamber and went up to the Rotunda.

Today’s march takes place under the shadow of the bloody pursuit in western Thessaloniki, which took place early yesterday morning, when a police officer shot a 16-year-old Roma man in the head.
