As the two ministers pointed out in their statements, at the meeting it was agreed that the Ministry of Rural Development will contribute to the faster implementation of the opening of Pontou Street, but also of the fishing shelter in Kalamaria. “We are at your disposal at any time for any development projects in which we can contribute. “The fishing shelter is a priority for us, but also the opening of Pontou Street, to which we can contribute”, Mr. Libanos underlined.

He referred to the specialization of measures to reduce the tax on oil, stressing that “this means that 200,000 farmers and stockbreeders will have reduced production costs.”

As he mentioned, the categories of people who will enter this program are the young farmers, the participants in the contract farming program, the members of the cooperatives and the members of the producer groups.

Mr. Kalafatis stressed that during the meeting they discussed, among other things, “the tools needed to make investments in the agricultural sector.” “We are in constant communication and I thank the Minister of Rural Development for his excellent contribution to resolving issues in Macedonia and Thrace,” he added.

After the meeting, Mr. Libanos chaired a meeting on Greek feta, in which Mr. Kalafatis also participated.
