He didn’t know the girl was 14 – she told him she was 16, says the 19-year-old.
The parents of one 14-year-old student from Volos, reported the former to the Police 19 years old friend of their daughter, that he had acted against her. The minor’s parents filed a lawsuit against the 19-year-old, as a result of which the Volos Prosecutor’s Office prosecuted him for child abuse, possession of pornographic material and distribution of this material.
The Volos First Instance Prosecutor’s Office conducted a preliminary examination based on the lawsuit, ultimately ending up in prosecuting the young man. However, as it became known, the lawsuit against the 19-year-old was filed four months after the minor broke up with the young man and after her parents had found her mobile phone photos with him.
According to the same sources, the prosecution for possession pornographic material it concerns a photo found in which the two young men appear in their underwear in a bathtub. The prosecution for distribution of pornographic material concerns the transmission of the photograph in question to friends of the 14-year-old via mobile phones. The 19-year-old apologized on Thursday (8/12) to the Volos investigator and with the consent of the public prosecutor’s office he was released until his trial is held, even without restrictive conditions being imposed on him. In fact, when the lawsuit was filed by the parents of the 14-year-old girl, she had not been arrested in the context of Autoforos. According to the same authoritative sources, the accused allegedly argued in his plea, that he did not know that the girl is 14 years old, she told him that she is 16 years old, while in posts on social media her appearance is said to refer to an older girl. Now everything will be decided by the will of the Volos Delinquent Council, i.e. if the 19-year-old will be referred and with what charges.
