In Athens is expected in March the Holy Icon of the Virgin Mary “Axion Esti” from Mount Athoss, according to a response document from the Mount Athos Community, about which she was informed Permanent Holy Synod, which completed its three-day work for the month of December today. In addition, you have issued his correspondence, as well as locating and issuing the Papadiamantic translations.

In this context, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, during the ceremony of awarding you with an Honorary Doctorate, awarded you the title of “Patriarch of Papadiamantic Studies”, which we also wholeheartedly applaud, as a fair recognition and appreciation of your contribution”.

In his rebuttal, Mr. Triantafyllopoulos, after thanking the Most Blessed Archbishop, the members of the BIS and Metropolitan Chalkidos Chrysostomos for this extraordinary distinction in his person, emphasized that, as according to the teaching of the Church, the honor to the icons “on the original passes through”, so even today the honor towards his person goes to Alexander the Great Papadiamantis from Skiathos, who in essence is being decorated today.
