Earlier, message 112 was sent to Aitoloakarnania and Amfilochia, Epirus and Corfu.

Problems occur mainly in Corfu due to power outages in the southern part of the island, while a woman from Paxos ended up as the bad weather caused a delay in her transport to hospital.

Problems in Corfu

Earlier, roads were closed on the island due to the fear of landslides, while there are also problems with the electricity supply. According to corfunews.gr, problems continue in the DEDDIE network. According to the latest official information from the central office of Corfu at this time (20:50) there is a major fault in the substation of Agios Matthaios, as a result of which there is no power in areas in the south.

The damage to Milia Kynopiasto is expected to be repaired in a short time, which has left several areas of central Corfu without electricity for many hours.

There is damage in Agios Georgios Pagon, but also several scattered.

Also, in southern Corfu due to the bad weather, according to kerkyrasimera.gr, five roads were closed with the digging machines on foot. The biggest problem is found in Chlomotiana, Agios Dimitrios, Halikouna and Agios Georgios Argyrados. Also, some roads that had suffered landslides in the previous days were closed. In particular, the roads connecting Messongi with Chlomos, Boukari with Petriti and Chlomos with Agios Dimitrios were closed to vehicular traffic from noon until further notice.

Problems with flights

At the same time, there are also problems at the island’s airport due to strong winds and heavy rainfall.
